The feathers of mountain hawk-eagles were originally a prestigious symbol in the Paiwan society. Due to the loss of the traditional class culture, people now can easily obtain the feathers of mountain hawk-eagles, which leads to the massive killing of the birds and an ecological catastrophe. Through this work, the artist hopes to instigate reflection and reinforce recognition of ecological awareness and traditional indigenous culture.
